Sheynnis Palacios is the current 72nd Miss Universe.
A first for the Central American country.
She was crowned Miss Nicaragua on August 5, 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Managua, Nicaragua.
Palacios is a model, community developer, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was also crowned Miss World Nicaragua 2020.
For the Miss Universe 2023 national costume show, Palacios wore a black embellished costume designed by Jorge Salazar Caliz. The costume was inspired by the Nicaraguan Grackle.
Palacios participated in the Miss Universe 2023 Evening Gown Competition on November 15 in San Salvador taking home the coveted title.
She previously represented Nicaragua at the Miss World 2021pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on March 16, 2022, where she placed in the Top 40.
